Here at Displaced Roses, we know that help those that are downtrodden. Sometimes, all it takes to change the world (and someone's life) is a little support and to be treated with love and respect. Since our early days, we have been determined to show love and faithfulness to the unhoused community through building relationships. The core of our efforts is to lessen the hardship of experiencing homelessness.
AREAS OF OUTREACH
CLOTHING & SUPPLIES DONATIONS
Ensuring Basic Clothing Needs Are Met. We accept casual clothing, new underwear and tennis shoes for men and women in need.
We also accept supplies such as tents, tarps, sleeping bags, blankets, toiletries, flashlights, etc.
STREET OUTREACH
We utilize a boots on the ground approach to outreach in the community which includes camps, motels, shelters, abandoned buildings and other non-structural areas.
This is the core of our relationship building with those in need.
FOOD PREP AND DONATION DROP-OFF
Providing a Hot Meal Today and Hope for Tomorrow.
During our Sunday serving days we prepare and serve over 200 meals out in the community. Its a great opportunity of fellowship with those we serve.
ADVOCACY & STANDING IN THE GAP
We work to bridge the gap between those in need and resources. These include job readiness, education, identifying documents, funeral arrangements, etc. We also foster relationships with hospitals and healthcare agencies, law enforcement, local governing bodies, employers, housing programs, DSS, businesses, civic and faith organizations.
Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
